Preschool Classroom

In the Preschool Room, we will see your child grow from a toddler to a big kid! We learn everything from potty training to independence, from colors to shapes, letters and numbers. We set a foundation on learning how to do things properly. For example, how to hold a pencil, sit at circle time, etc.

Our curriculum from Funshine Express, has two themes a month. There’s a lot of activities we will do throughout the week to help them learn more about the curriculum such as, art activities, play dough fun and building with blocks. We like to start the day off with circle time, this is when the children get to hear the plan for the day, see which day it is on the calendar, and we also love to incorporate songs in our morning routine, do a silly dance after they spell / try to spell their name. Children learn a lot through play and we try to embrace each lesson in a hands on way for your child to learn. Also, through play we are able to learn a lot about about your child and it is also a means for us to build rapport with each child.

We like to encourage parents to ask about their child’s projects. We do all of our communication through the Brightwheel App. This App allows us to send you messages, pictures, and videos. Brightwheel is also used to sign your child in and out everyday. We are excited to get to know you and your child here at Refinery Preschool.
